This is a difficult update to write as we continue to mourn the loss of one of our leaders and friend, Shannon Nealis.  Thank you all for representing WAHU in such a positive light for his family during such a challenging time.  As painful as it was, I was extremely proud to see the scores of familiar faces at his wake. 

It has become clear to me that WAHU at the chapter and state level is much more than the outlined tenants on our website.  It’s about a united group of employee benefit professionals (who in many cases are competitors) that care deeply about more than their own busy careers – we sincerely care about one another.  That is a special connection that is not often witnessed in other professional associations.  Let’s continue to harness that connection into being industry ambassadors during this period of economic uncertainty and unrest. 

Our Annual Fall Sales Conference has a great theme this year, “Working Toward Sensible Healthcare Solutions”.  Get signed up, get involved, get engaged in debate, get educated and become part of the evolving solution.
