Please join me in welcoming Jeff Des Jardins to the WAHU board and more importantly, as co chair for the State Membership Committee. (Gosh knows we can all use his help). Jeff is an Account Executive for Network Health Plans and has done an excellent job recruiting new members for WAHU /NAHU. Jeff will be focusing on New Members and my role will be Retention, getting prior members back into the WAHU organization.
Jeff and I will work hard in the next 12 months to get the membership enrollment back to where we were a couple of years ago. But we cannot do this without your help, the other part of the membership team. So with that said, we need your input! What are your thoughts and ideas to increase our membership? Would you be willing to help your local chapter on membership activities? NAHU is offering a special Recruitment Campaign between now and the end of the year. Beginning October 1, any new or reinstating member (those 90 days beyond their renewal date) who join between now and December 31, will have their dues paid through December 2011. That could potentially mean one to three months of free membership.
